Cartlidge Levene

London based agency Cartlidge Levene created these minimalistic exhibition graphics for Design Museum's annual events show. The concept behind the position of the typography is in the form of a ribbon that flows throughout the pillared structure of the museum and floats up and down the canvas. The choice of colour compliments the concept tremendously well and the typographic choice offsets a balance between the eclectic mix of exhibits.

It seems very Swiss inspired however, anything minimal with solid colour and a grotesk sans serif could be linked back to the Swiss typography.

I also stumbled across their work for the WLE centre. CL developed a content driven, typographic approach enhanced through different 3d production methods. Bold, overlapping words, and colour forms symbolise the blurring of the boundaries between working, learning and educating.
